TIMO

OVERVIEW

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that often emerges during the primary school phase and manifests itself with symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that profoundly affect school and social experiences. Children struggle to maintain concentration, manage time, and organize activities, resulting in learning difficulties, frustration, and misunderstandings in relationships with teachers and peers. Timo is an interactive device that helps manage symptoms by organizing daily activities and promoting collaboration between children, parents and teachers

01

CONCEPT

timo is an interactive system that supports children in managing their time and daily activities through a playful and educational approach. Guided by an adult, the child creates their own timeline by placing cards representing periods of concentration and breaks. In this way, activities are divided into shorter, more manageable intervals, with durations that can be adapted to the preferences and needs related to the disorder

CORE

it is the central element of the device. It has a side handle that allows the child to set the duration, a light ring that shows the remaining time, and a central button to start or stop the activity. This simple, physical gesture introduces a reassuring routine and integrates movement and tactile stimulation

CARDS

the cards differ in color and texture, representing moments of focus and pause. They are placed in a line starting from the core and a custom duration can be set for every phase. Each card has a light ring that marks the remaining time of the phase. The cards are magnetic and can be easily transported or stacked, ensuring continuity of use between home and school
